The Watchlist
1. Yaya Toure - With Man City out of all other competitions, the league is there only focus. I cant see Mancini benching/resting the guy so he is a guaranteed starter. One of the most frustrating things in FF is when a player you have in your first team is benched I don't think Toure is one of those players. The only way he doesn't play is through injury/suspension. He brings in a great goal threat, assists and defence points scoring opportunities. I'm considering swapping Fellaini for him after GW 29. This is because Fellaini has better fixtures in GW28 and City have no fixture in GW 29. Finally the formation Mancini played against Chelsea let Toure play in the hole behind Aguero. Which leads me to the second watchlist...
2. Aguero - I realise his point scoring is not that great this scoring but it he starts to hit form, the guy can be unstoppable. He could easily score a hatrick, and I believe having players who are capable of scoring braces and hat tricks make very appealing players. I just have this feeling Man City will have a fabulous run at the end of the season hence Aguero makes my watchlist. I am considering transferring RVP > Aguero because of injury and a hectic fixture list for Utd.
3. Monreal - 2 clean sheets and an assist in his last three games makes him tally of 19 points in his last three games the form defender - and at £5.5m is great value. Im considering swapping Apzileuceta for Monreal, as Benetiz constantly tinkers with his team almost rendering everyone but Mata an impossible option in my opinion. With Gibbs still out injured and Santos gone from the club, Monreal is a certain starter and a great asset to have in your squad.
4. De Guzman - Swansea are having a great time of it after collecting the League Cup and De Guzman scores, assists and is a regular starter for the Swans. At 5.7m he is reasonably priced and I believe that he will only get better (trying to secure a permanent switch). Very good player and has produced 99 points so far which is a very reasonable haul but I expect that to improve as he continues to settle into life at the Liberty Stadium.
5. Anichebe - Fantastic value for a striker that nearly always produces the goods when he starts for Everton. Jelavic is woefully out of form at the moment and Anichebe can prosper. At 4.5m he is outstanding value ad one of those little bargains in the game. I would say he is an excellent sub if you play 3-5-2 formation and one of the stars gets injured or rested then he can come in and do excellent points.
6. Dawson - started in the last 7 games for Spurs with 3 clean sheets to his name. After his exile by AVB at the start of the season he has gone from nearly leaving the club to being the captain in a short space of time and is now AVB's mainstay of the centre backs. Unbelievably he is only priced at 4.6m, which probably reflects his exclusion at the start of the season but he is ow well worth a punt. He is a sure fire transfer in for O'Brien for me during the next GW.
7. Schwarzer - At 5.1m believe he is a great alternative to Begovic or Mignolet. Has scored 18 points in his last two games, including a saved penalty, so he is the form dog. While the fixture list could be better most of the tougher games are at home and so there could be a chance of clean sheets against the bigger team such as Chelsea, Liverpool and Arsenal. He plays ever game and is a consistent performer if you want to save a few quid.
8. Sturridge - Do I need to say much more? With Suarez considerably more expensive 10.5m then the sturridge option at 7.5m is a real go-er. He has looked electric, sharp and has given Liverpool a real cutting edge since arriving in January. I think Liverpool Will do well in the final stages of the league and he is a stand out candidate for the watchlist.
Also look out for - Luke Shaw (Sou), Puncheon (Sou), Fabio (QPR), Ceasar (QPR), Cisse (Newcastle), Sissoko (New), Gouffran (Newcastle), Lukaka (WBA), Kone (Wigan), McCarthy (Wigan).
